Every July, in the good ole U.S. of A., the night sky is filled with a series of celebratory explosions. It is here, among the hissing and popping of vibrant colors, where this collection of notebooks was born.
The Firework Series features artwork from a slew of insanely talented artists—Jon Contino, Eric Kenney, Denton Watts, Emma Maatman, and the creator of this notebook, Luke Pelletier. Each designer was given the firework theme and the freedom to run with it. The original designs they supplied are exclusive to Word., and the result is collection of pocket notebooks as eye-catching as a grand finale.
For the Firework Series, we’ve ditched the bullet point system and lined pages our notebooks are normally filled with in favor of blank pages that allow for more creativity. As always, these are 100% made in the USA.
This exclusive series will only be produced once. When these notebooks are gone, they are gone. So grab a pack before it’s too late.

The Artist: Luke Pelletier
Luke Pelletier grew up in Western North Carolina. He graduated with a BFA in fine art from SAIC in 2015. Living in a tourist town for much of his life, he has been heavily influenced by seasonal economies, as well as the multi-level relationships, dependence and resentment, between tourists and locals. Much of Luke’s art blurs the lines between celebrating and condemning a culture that agrees to be taken advantage of while it takes advantage of others. His art is filled with personal anecdotes, dark humor, dualities, contradictions, repetition, and scenes of paradise that are simultaneously pristine and decaying. Luke uses photography, painting, sculpture, social practice, writing, and craft to riff on his moral dilemmas with romance, objectification, labor, competition, tourist culture, capitalism, addiction, free will, masculinity, fun, and Americana.See more artwork
